At our recent 2025 Club Open Day we had lots of visitors, volunteers and boats on the water.
Great weather and lots of preparation on the days before, good promotion, briefing and breakfast for volunteers meant we kicked off the day well.
As well as lots of visitors from across Eirth, Bexley and the wider London area we also had lots of friends and family of club members come down to join in.
Visitors going sailing had a great choice of boats with two yachts, two Drascombes, three Laser Keel boats as well as several other boats out on the water giving people the chance to have a go at sailing. For many this was their first time, for others it was a chance to get back into sailing and find out about getting involved in the club.
On the day we had:
- Approx 30 club volunteers were involved
- Around 75 visitors sailed
- 80 Meals served by Dave and team on the BBQ and Mary and crew were kept busy serving drinks from the bar
- We’ve recieved two Membership Applications already
- Six other Prospective members signed up from the day
We had lots of postive feedback from those involved and heaps of photos posted on our Facebook page. After starting at about 10am things drew to a close close to 4pm just as the winds got a bit more gusty.
