Welcome to Erith Yacht Club – the Premier Sailing Location on the tidal River Thames. We are fortunate to be situated on a wide stretch of the river within easy distance of London and the M25.
Our aims are simple: to provide an affordable sailing venue to all ages and abilities, and to encourage the development of sailing skills through our in-house training and sailing programmes.
Erith Yacht Club is an inclusive club that is committed to giving the largest number of people possible the opportunity to experience sailing on the Tidal Thames. The club recognises that Sailing can be seen to be an expensive hobby so have a number of membership options that support people with a lower income or who face financial hardship.. This includes free membership for young people up to the age of 25 years and family membership at a lower cost.
EYC has a new clubhouse with new workshops and storage facilities, pontoon, and training boats. With this development, we can now offer enhanced sailing and training under the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) training scheme.
Finding us
Erith Yacht Club is situated on the edge of the Crayford Marshes just to the east of Erith in Kent. Its easy to get to by car, public transport and of course by boat. It overlooks the stretch of the Thames known as Erith Rands, a wide part of the river providing excellent sailing and racing.
The Clubhouse and bar are open on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons, when our friendly members are on hand to welcome you. If you wish to visit at other times you are welcome to contact the Club using the ‘Contact EYC’ facility.
